visited location 5, parking available at entrance to track,looked very exciting with low cliffs at side of track of softish siltstones in 150mm bands ending at a small quarry.Blocks are easily split with light chisel but only yielded a few cockle shells but look carefully with a glass and you will find many grapolites.As with all of Mortimer Forest it is so accessible that it is obviously over collected. by Robin Walker |
